Here at the Heating & Eating Company we pride ourselves on providing a good, old fashioned service and quality customer care. We are a family run business that has been fitting fireplaces, gas fires, electric fires and wood-burners since 1995. During this time, our reputation has grown and have become recognised throughout Ipswich, Colchester and the surrounding areas as the place to come for a contemporary fireplace.

In order for the Heating & Eating Company to deliver an unrivalled service, we take control of the whole project from the moment you choose your new fireplace. We offer a full survey and installation service whilst providing everything that is needed, including building work and plastering. To ensure all our work is carried out at the highest standard, we only use Gas Safe engineers for both natural gas and LPG installations and HETAS engineers for all solid fuel installations.

Our showroom is based in White Colne, just outside Colchester in Essex. Here we offer a comprehensive range of gas and electric fires and multi-fuel stoves, these are complemented by a vast range of marble, stone and wood fire surrounds. For those that are looking for something a bit different, we also provide a more bespoke service in order for you to find the right fireplace for your home. To make your experience as good as it can be, a large proportion of our fireplaces can be seen working, letting you get a good feel in how it would operate in every day to day living.
